A magnetic lock usually referred to as a mag lock, often consists of an electromagnet and an armature plate. The magnet fits inside the door, which prevents interference, while the plate gets mounted on the front door’s face. As a general rule of Thumb, the more security the lock provides, the higher its price is. There are two installation processes, DIY (Do It Yourself), which is cheaper and applies to homeowners who know their way around their tools,  hardware, and professional installations which refer to lock devices that are more complicated.
