Description

The VIS-MINI-CNTRL is a mini single door control panel, can work with any entry device Wiegand 26~37 bits output reader. Card type depends on the reader, example: EM, HID, and MFR card types. It uses Atmel microcontroller to assure stable performance and equips with an infrared remote control for easy operation. The VIS-MINI-CNTRL supports 1,000 users.

If the Keypad/Card Reader (Entry Device) is tampered with, the door will remain locked. The mini controller is the one controlling and securing your locking device.

What is the default Master Code, and should I change it?

The default Master Code is 123456. Yes, you should change it right away for security. To do this, enter program mode, press 0, type your new 6-digit code, press #, then confirm by typing it again and pressing #.
What happens if someone keeps entering the wrong code or card?

If the "Strike-Out Alarm" feature is turned on, the system will lock out access after 10 failed attempts in a row. Depending on how it's set up, it can either block entry for 10 minutes or stay locked until a valid card, PIN, or the Master Code is entered.
Where should the mini controller be installed?

The VIS-MINI-CNTRL should be installed in a restricted, secure area inside the facility (such as inside an enclosure). Because credentials are saved on the controller rather than the external reader/keypad, tampering with the outside reader will not unlock the door.
